Boasting the best powder & tree skiing in the country combined with the friendliest locals in a true western town, Steamboat is an awesome place to be. This event is brought to you by Craft Cruises.
Gayle & Mariana started Sew Steamboat out of their love of hand crafts & to fulfill a need in this rural mountain community. Sew Steamboat is conveniently located in downtown Steamboat on Lincoln Avenue next to the Bristol Hotel. Every day of the Knit & Ski event they will offer classes, shop specials, trunk shows with local fiber artists & books, patterns & yarns featured exclusively by Cat & Lucy.
Cat has been a full-time writer since 2002, and also teaches knitting workshops, gives talks at knitting retreats and to knitting guilds, and also teaches writing workshops. At this time she leads a quiet and blessed life tucked away in the woods on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, where she is working on the next book in the Forest Inside trilogy. The infinite nature of the Moebius just seems to keep offering new possibilities to explore.
Lucy Neatby is a passionate knitter, who designs and writes patterns to entertain the mind as well as the fingers. Lucy has an eclectic fashion sense and loves mixing lots of vibrant colors. Lucy Neatby shares her love and knowledge of the art of hand knitting by giving a myriad of entertaining workshops.
Knit & Ski is designed for serious knitters who want to improve their skills and be inspired by two of the most sought after instructors in the knitting world, Cat Bordhi and Lucy Neatby in an exclusive setting in the middle of the Rocky Mountains.
We've got classes for intermediate to advanced knitters with Cat Bordhi and Lucy Neatby. We are first offering the entire class program for the die hards who want to take a full two days with Cat and another two days with Lucy for the full meal deal = 24 class hours.
Classes will be held Thursday January 24 through Sunday January 27, 2013 from 9A until 5P daily with a break for lunch. The four day class program will consist of 24-class hours with two days being split between both Cat and Lucy. In a few months we will open enrollment to offer both 1 & 2 day options on a first come basis. Classes will fill quickly so if you are interested contact us today!
